COVID has pushed all of us to the future of work-from-home more suddenly than we could ever have imagined. With no real end in sight to the pandemic, it seems it is never going away.
Neither is the change to our work. No one wants to go back to spending hours in transit every day or wasting hours in traditional meetings when it can be done so easily and fast online.
But Future-of-Work can only be of benefit if we learn how to harness it and protect ourselves from problems. What remote work policies are others using? How does performance measurement work? How to maintain personal relationships? Will office space become for meetings?
Are standard office hours going away? How can work-from-home be offered as a perk to valued employees? Will some jobs be eliminated?
