As the capital city of Bulacan province, Malolos is ground zero of the north expansion of Metro Manila and one of the greatest economic opportunities of our lifetime. A new Php100B+ railway is well underway linking Tutuban-Malolos-Clark to serve 340,000 people daily. It will cut travel time from Malolos to Tutuban to 35 minutes and scheduled to be fully operational in 2021. The new Bulacan International Airport has received government approval and support. The 2,500-hectare hyper-modern aerodrome will feature an 8.4km toll road to accommodate 100 million passengers per year. The Php23B NLEX-SLEX Connector Road will be completed by 2021 and reduce transit time across Metro Manila from 2 hrs to 20 mins. The heritage city of Malolos is in the midst of a tremendous economic boom because of its strategic location as Metro Manila expands north. Malolos is designated as a key "Next Wave City" by IBPAP and DOST-ICTO.
