Rosario
is the Managing Director of SGS Philippines, Inc., the commercial
affiliate of the SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification,
testing, and certification company based in Geneva Switzerland, that
provides risk management and quality assurance services to a wide scope
of industry and business worldwide. She is concurrently the Chief
Executive Officer of SGS Gulf Limited – Regional Operating Headquarters
, the business process support unit (off-shore BPO service) for the SGS
Group, which services global SGS business and support functions which
she had also established in the country.
As
such, she oversees SGS services in the Philippines in the following
business lines: Agricultural Services; Minerals Services; Oil, Gas,
& Chemicals Services (OGC); Environmental Services; Consumer
Testing Services, Systems & Services Certification; Industrial
Services; and, Governments & Institutions Services. She also
strategically manages the performance of SGS (Subic Bay), Inc. and SGS
Guam, Inc., which provide OGC services for clients at the Subic Bay
Freeport Zone and Micronesia, respectively. In her position, Rosario is
responsible for various divisions that are collectively accountable for
the organization’s annual revenue and its 30% profit margin, overseeing
and ensuring the overall performance of SGS in the Philippines in terms
of operational and financial KPIs.
Always keen on performance management, talent retention, and
innovation, Rosario’s responsibility for the BPO services provided to
the SGS Group extend to cover affiliates and clients in Asia, the
Middle-East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Quick to provide
testimonials on the viability of the Philippines as a BPO investment
area, Rosario is regularly invited to join government and private
sector promotional activities, an activity that she enthusiastically
participates in.
She introduces her management expertise even through her and her
company’s advocacy in the development of Philippine-Swiss relations.
Currently, she is the Chairperson of the Philippine-Swiss Business
Council, which operates under the auspices of the Philippine Chamber of
Commerce and Industry.
Rosario is also an advocate for the rights of working mothers. She is
the vice president of Working with Working Mothers, a non-stock,
non-profit, non-government organization dedicated to upholding and
promoting the rights of working mothers in the workplace and their
contribution to society.
Rosario has over twenty years of experience in a multi-cultural
environment and has had various overseas assignments which include
postings in Switzerland, United Kingdom, Singapore, Pakistan,
Kazakhstan, Cambodia, among others. She holds two Executive MBA
degrees, from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and from NUS
Business School.
