Erik's
career with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group spans 3 decades from when he
started on its management trainee program in 1979. He has held
management positions in the Copenhagen head office, and has been
expatriated for Maersk Line to China and Italy, before assuming Country
Manager positions in Ecuador in February 2000 and in the Philippines in
December 2004.
In
October 2006, Erik moved from Makati to Ortigas to head up the Maersk
Global Service Centres (Philippines) Ltd as Managing Director of that
shared services center.
At the time it had 710 employees, and today - 3 1/2 years later - the
headcount has exceeded 1,800 with a higher degree of complexity of work.
