SPONSOR of
Asia CEO Awards
Mabuhay, and welcome to Ford Philippines!
Since 1997, the Ford Philippines family has been growing tremendously.
Like all our vehicle products, which are built to serve the growing
demands and varying lifestyles of today's consumers, this website is
designed to take care of the needs of our most valued assets, our
customers!
Allow us to assist you through this website -whether it be from a quick
piece of information on our latest products, exact directions to your
nearest dealerships, or ideas on how to get the best deals on a brand
new SUV or pick-up truck. We are here to make sure that your time is
well-spent searching for that particular product that will equip your
fast-paced lifestyle.
Since 1997, the Ford Philippines family has been growing tremendously.
Our P4-billion state-of-the-art assembly plant at Sta. Rosa, Laguna has
stepped up its production to serve the Filipino's growing demand for
premium quality cars and trucks. And our distribution efforts have
continued to bring our top-selling North American trucks and SUVs into
local soil. Our endless commitment to serve has reaped for us various
accolades, including ISO 9002 and ISO14001. Ford has even made it to
the top of the J.D. Power Sales and Service Satisfaction Index among
all automotive companies in the Philippines.
But despite all our success, it is your opinion that finally counts.
And at the end of the day we hope that you are among those whom we have
worked so hard to satisfy. Please feel free to surf around this site as
we make every effort to enhance your brand and service experience.
After all, as we say here in Ford, the customer is Job 1.
Our Beginnings
It all began with Henry Ford's fascination for mechanical objects. He
would tinker with gadgets, conduct experiments, operate steam engines
as a hobby. His passion soon turned into a profession when he headed
the Ford Motor Company in 1903 - first as chief engineer then, later,
as president.
In 1908, the company launched a car that would change the history of
transportation: the Model T. It was the result of Henry Ford's dream to
build a car that everyone can afford, one that was easy to operate and
maintain. It became such a hit that during the first year of
production, 10,660 units were sold - a record-breaking feat in the
automotive industry.
Today, Ford continues to make an impact throughout the world - and in
cyberspace. Ford Motor Company continues to support an Internet
strategy designed to make full use of web technology to communicate
with customers better.
All this is part of Ford Motor Company's shift from a traditional
automotive company to a dynamic, 21st century consumer company. And
this is just the beginning.
FORD ASSEMBLY PLANT
Ford's P4-billion Laguna plant, located at the Greenfield Automotive
Park in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, has a capacity of 25,000 vehicles per year
and is capable of producing at least four different vehicle platforms.
The plant currently assembles not only the Lynx sedan and the Escape
SUV for domestic and export market but also Tribute SUV and Protege
sedan for export to Thailand and Indonesia. Ford Philippines' fine
fleet of vehicles also includes the Everest, Ranger, Expedition, and
the Chateau Wagon.
ISO 9002
QUALITY ASSURANCE ISO 9002
Manila, 7 July 2000 - Ford Philippines, a subsidiary of the second
largest automotive manufacturer in the world, was recently awarded the
ISO 9002 certification by the TUV Rheinland, a Germany-based
international certification body. Set to authenticate Ford Philippines'
claims of total quality excellence, the ISO 9002 certification is also
a strong affirmation of the company's commitment to quality and total
customer satisfaction.
The ISO 9002 is a globally accepted seal of quality assurance and
compliance to international systems and standards. Apart from
highlighting the company's vision of becoming the world's leading
consumer company for automotive products and services, ISO 9002 is set
to help the company achieve global competitiveness and recognition.
Moreover, it guarantees consumers that Ford's products have passed the
strictest & highest quality standards.
A dynamic pack of Ford employees was formed to create the ISO Core
Team, who together with Ford Philippines Management initiated awareness
campaigns & training programs in its effort to encourage active
participation and motivation among employees. Ford Philippines Plant
ISO Coordinator Alain Basbas shared, "We can compete more effectively
on quality, both through customer recognition of our quality system and
through our own efficiencies gained from implementing the system."
Ford Philippines former President Terry Emrick stated, "The hard work
does not end here. In achieving this prestigious recognition we also
accept the responsibility to keep up with these standards and emphasize
our continuous effort for constant improvement."
"The vision of Ford Motor Company is to become the world's leading
Consumer Company. To achieve that vision, we must continuously gather
unfiltered consumer insights. Connecting with consumers is the key to
that endeavor. To begin making that connection, we must provide our
consumers with the highest quality products and services second to
none." Mr. Emrick declared.
