The ASIA CEO Awards will recognize individuals and organizations that
have done the most to develop the business capability of the country on
the international stage.
The event, which is expected to become the most important night of the
year for the local business sector, will demonstrate why just the
country is experiencing unprecedented uplift, regardless of the
challenging global economic environment.
Richard Mills, who will sit as one of the seven judges for the event,
said the Asia CEO Awards is a brilliant barometer of the Philippines'
phenomenal success.
"The region is slowly gaining momentum after extremely difficult times
last year. What is remarkable though is that according to the latest
official figures, Asia and the Pacific is leading the world,"said
Mr.Mills who is also the former president of the Canadian Chamber of
Commerce of the Philippines.
The annual gala was established as a natural outgrowth of Asia CEO
Forum, which is the largest event for the international business
community in the Philippines.
Eight awards will be bestowed including: Executive Leadership Team of
the Year, Non - Profit Leadership Team of the Year, Global Filipino
Executive of the year, Expatriate Executive of the year, Finance
Leadership Team of the year, HR Leadership Team of the year, and
Technology Leadership of the year.
Aside from Mr.Mills, the judges of the Asia CEO Awards include some of
the most accomplished and recognized figures in the business community
in the Philippines namely: Dr. Bernie Villegas, Don Felbaum, Edward
Chang, Francis Estrada, Henry Schumacher, and Nobuo Fujii.
Presenters of awards include some of the most successful managers
currently based in Philippines: Noel Bonoan, chief operating officer of
KPMG( Manabat Sanagustin & Co.); Nando Camus, chairman of Jones
Lang LaSalle, the nation's largest real state broker and advisory firm;
and Mike Ellis, regional head of Northgate Arinso, the global HR
services organization.
Deadline of submission of nominations is on Oct.22. The awarding will
be held on Nov.11 at the Dusit Thani Manila Grand Ballroom. For more
